Hi Dena,

I'm all for Facebook pages. The problem is with personal profiles, not with business pages.

However, to use a Facebook page as a substitute for a web or blog site is one of the worst errors a marketer could make.

It's partially an issue of control. Who do you want to control YOUR web presence, you of Facebook?

The second is that page rank isn't important enough. I set up a brand new site four weeks ago for Gevril Group, and we've already had more than 100 search visits.

Yet, this is exactly what all the internet marketing gurus are recommending! Setting up "like" pages. Many people aren't even setting up websites anymore - they're only doing Facebook because it ranks so high in Google!
